A research team (INRA and the University of Montpellier) in collaboration with numerous European partners has just developed a food tray from residues from agricultural and agro-food industries. Made of a polymer resulting from the fermentation of liquid waste from dairy industries, and ligno-cellulosic fibers resulting from the grinding of wheat straw, this tray looks like plastic, but in a fully biodegradable version.
