Sargantana is an organisation with a civil character and civil organisational structure – a non-governmental organisation. Founded as a cooperative by educators in 1987, it is located in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
Sargantana is dedicated to the management of projects of sustainable and rural development, as well as cross-border projects, training plans and courses. Another of its missions is the design, planning and development of leisure activities and environmental education.

Sargantana works in:
- Environmental education, developing activities with students and children in school centres. Nature tours, weekdays of classrooms in Nature, visiting interpretation centres.
- Information and social awareness, carrying out promotional campaigns and the diffusion of environmental, social and cultural values, which all contribute to the improvement of the quality and environmental conservation.
- To carry out technical studies and advice on environmental issues. Also advice on educational, interpretative, tourism and training topics. European programs, cross-border cooperation and the promotion of volunteering.
- Formal and non-formal training: the design of training actions, giving courses, technical advice in training, management of training centres.
