The project is focused on the role of the bees as environmental indicator. Bees are considered - together with its products as honey, beeswax, pollen - key actors in the agriculture processes and its study determines a full understanding of the condition of the environment.
The project aims at:
- Bio-monitoring of the territory, including an “environmental certification” of definite areas;
- Building a network of bio-monitoring with the aforementioned partners for the protection of local environment;
- Protection of biodiversity, both animal and botanical;
- Increase of agricultural product at regional level;
- Increase of the production of bees’ products (both qualitative and quantitative).
